Alliant BrandHub:
Transforming Brand Governance Across the Enterprise
Overview: As Senior Manager of Creative & Brand Development at Alliant Credit Union, I led the strategy, implementation, and long-term management of Alliant BrandHub, a centralized brand management platform powered by Frontify.
Serving as the platform's business owner and technical lead, I was responsible for defining the product vision, governance model, platform roadmap, annual budget, vendor relationship, and ongoing enhancements.
BrandHub became the organization's single source of truth for brand assets, guidelines, templates, and marketing resources, empowering more than 900 employees and 100 external partners with self-service access while improving brand consistency and operational efficiency.
The Challenge
As the organization grew, brand assets were scattered across shared drives, email attachments, and multiple storage locations. Employees regularly relied on Creative Services to locate logos, templates, photography, and marketing materials, creating unnecessary delays and preventing the team from focusing on strategic work. Without centralized governance, outdated assets were occasionally used, increasing the risk of inconsistent brand execution.
The organization needed more than a digital asset management system—it needed a scalable governance platform that combined technology, education, and process to support long-term growth.
My Approach
Rather than treating BrandHub as a software implementation, I developed an enterprise brand governance strategy built around six core pillars:
-
Established BrandHub as the organization's single source of truth with role-based permissions, approval workflows, and long-term governance processes.
-
Designed the information architecture, taxonomy, and metadata strategy to organize thousands of assets into an intuitive, searchable experience.
-
Empowered employees and external partners to independently access approved assets, templates, and brand resources, significantly reducing manual requests.
-
Developed onboarding materials, training sessions, internal communications, and a monthly BrandHub newsletter to drive awareness and reinforce the value of brand consistency.
-
Leveraged Frontify analytics to monitor adoption, prioritize enhancements, and guide future platform improvements.
-
Led a multidisciplinary team of graphic designers, copywriters, email marketing specialists, and a social media specialist who developed and maintained content within their respective areas of expertise, creating a sustainable governance model that kept the platform current and relevant.
Leadership & Implementation
As the platform's business owner and technical lead, I partnered with Frontify, IT, Marketing, Compliance, and executive stakeholders to successfully launch BrandHub across the organization. My responsibilities included platform selection, information architecture, vendor management, budget oversight, roadmap planning, enhancement prioritization, governance strategy, and change management.
Beyond implementing the technology, I built the operational framework that ensured BrandHub would continue to evolve with the organization while supporting long-term adoption and scalability.

Why This Project Matters
BrandHub transformed Creative Services from an asset distribution team into a strategic business partner. By combining governance, technology, education, and operational leadership, I built a scalable platform that empowered teams, strengthened brand consistency, and created long-term business value.
This project reflects my leadership philosophy: the strongest creative organizations aren't built solely on talented people—they're built on scalable systems, empowered teams, and thoughtful governance that enables creativity to thrive.
